Requests for single year $500-$5,000 gifts do not require an application.  Please send a one page letter including:

  1. non-profit status
  2. contact information
  3. past activity/accomplishments and
  4. future goals (projects or actions)

APPLICATION PROCESS FOR MULTI YEAR $25,000 Grant
  • If you have a program that would be a good fit for multi-year $25,000 funding from The Ellis Foundation, please apply! Preference to organizations working on social justice issues.
  • Please download the Ellis Foundation Application form for the multi-year grants and complete as indicated.  Keep answers to brief paragraphs.
  • Email your completed application form to: info@ellisfound.org.
  • For multi-year gifts, we will likely reach out for additional information and possibly an in-person meeting before making decisions.
  • Large multi-year grant application deadline is the last Friday in June!
APPLICATION PROCESS FOR SPECIAL GRANTS more than $25,000

During the COVID lockdown, a lot of our societal ills became painfully apparent. In response, we have decided to give several multi year grants that are much larger than our usual amounts. We will prioritize organizations working on healthcare, housing, and/or food insecurity.  Please send a one page letter by June 30th including:

  1. non-profit tax ID (you must be a 501c3)
  2. contact information
  3. past activity/accomplishments and
  4. future goals (projects or actions)
